This wonderful trail takes place over 3 days and 3 nights, with 2 morning and 2 afternoon walks, returning to the same base camp each night. Guests can expect to walk between 15km to 20km a day. It is therefore important for guests, to have a moderate level of fitness.

• A-frame huts or tents

Meals and Drinks:

The Bushman’s Wilderness Trail offers simple yet wholesome meals prepared over gas or an open fire. While the camp strives to accommodate special dietary needs with prior arrangements, options are limited due to the bush setting. Guests are encouraged to bring extra light snacks for daytime and trail consumption. Water and coffee are readily available to ensure hydration. However, the trail does not supply soft drinks or alcoholic beverages, guests should bring these on the first day. Please note that refrigeration is limited, and excessive alcohol consumption is discouraged.

Trail Route

The trail is easy to moderate, with the group covering a distance of 7 to 14 km each day. It begins at Berg-en-Dal Camp, where you’ll be transported by game drive vehicle to your camp, nestled deep in the wilderness. Over the next two days, you’ll embark on both morning and afternoon walks. Each day will conclude with a relaxing afternoon siesta, giving you the perfect opportunity to recharge and prepare for the next adventure.

Book the Bushman Wilderness Trail

You are expected to book in advance. There is a minimum of two and a maximum of 8 participants per booking.
The cost of a trail is R13 841 for two people, excluding the community levy of R138.41

If you have a Sanparks Wildcard, you won’t need to pay the conservation fee.
